Can't we Agree to Disagree?

Why can’t people learn to agree to disagree?  In this way, we can all learn in a Peaceful environment.  To have Strong Beliefs is to be incapable of being intimidated.  Just because you cannot manipulate another person does not give you the Right to cause discourse in their life.  Learn to agree to disagree.

How do we agree to disagree?  By Standing Firm in our Beliefs, while continuing to Hear what others are saying.  We all know and continue to hear how the people in the Middle East cannot get along.  We see them neither listen to one another or try to work together. 

In trying to prepare for this article, I found references to the brutality of Israel and Palestinian violence. In trying to Understand their attitude of arrogance and actions to reflect egotism, I could not find any references to the contribution either country makes to humanity. Discourse abounds on this earth. Where the United States continually addresses and offers assistance to countries and human beings worldwide, there is no call to action for either of these countries.

The references found for Israel are requests for assistance. Help us bring Jews home, report Jews who are taking foreign wives… Several websites on this. The list is just what came up on my web search. Not necessary to list too many. The topic of Israeli/Palestinian discourse can be researched further, if you find it necessary.

The concern leading to this article is that members of the societies in these middle east countries attempt to inflict their turmoil onto the people of the United States. It is disastrous to think of taking on their disagreements here. The United States attempts to assist other world countries in countering their disagreements, while keeping Peace at home. It is getting harder and harder to find Peace.

Religious beliefs are personal. Discussion between mature adults explaining experiences and revelations can lead to Understanding. It is irresponsible for members of middle east countries to attempt to dictate the religious beliefs of Americans. The United States has been Blessed with many very Powerful Prophets of her own by the Almighty God. The Christian backbone of this country is what gives her the Compassion to care for other peoples.  Confusion sets in when people allow their religious beliefs to be compromised.  Discussion is to solidify and expand, not destroy the foundation already laid. 

In learning to agree to disagree, the doors of communication will again be opened.  For a time, I critiqued news articles on PeerPower.  This is a private social website, which appears to have originated in India.  I was invited to join that website by an Indian man whom I met on LinkedIn!  The response I got from the people on that website was phenomenal.  They were kind in their comments, discussions and interactions.  It was just a pleasure to be involved on PeerPower.  This relationship with the members of PeerPower is an example of the ideal interaction between different societies.  I was able to speak of religious beliefs without discourse.  I studied their religious beliefs and economic system to give me Understanding.  In return, I was given Respect, a sort of community, Kindness I cannot even describe.

My request is that you provide comment on ways to agree to disagree.  Help others to Communicate and Understand where you are coming from, why you believe what you believe, how you live and why you live that way, revealing common ground where Peace can begin to grow.
