Is it Death with Dignity or is it Murder?
66Washington State passed the Death with Dignity regulation in 2008. The following citation is from Department of Health Services for the State of Washington: “The Washington Death with Dignity Act, Initiative 1000, codified as RCW 70.245, passed on November 4, 2008. This act allows terminally ill adults seeking to end their life to request lethal doses of medication from medical and osteopathic physicians. These terminally ill patients must be Washington residents who have less than six months to live.” There is a National Center for Death with Dignity.
When a person has been diagnosed with a terminal disease or illness and has 6 months to live, according to another person, they can be drugged to the point of death. The issue at hand is an Ethical determination. Who, on the face of this earth, has the authority to determine the death of another person? It is irrelevant what a person wants. We can be in such physical pain that we are unable to think clearly. This pain can stem from emotional distress, physical malady or Spiritual Attack. So, where is the line drawn as to who can be murdered legally?
In the Eyes of God, no other human being has the Right to take the life of his fellow man. No human being has the Right to pass legislation that takes away God’s Determination. Ethical laws are those based upon God’s Law. A very clear component within the 10 Commandments is “thou shalt not commit murder”. Murder doesn’t even have to be on a physical level as discussed in my most recent HUB, “How to commit murder without even pulling a trigger”. Therefore, to actually take the life of another person, is definitely murder under God’s Definition.
A major concern here, is that families, not wanting the responsibility or burden of caring for their “loved” ones, push for the Death with Dignity. A person in pain and weak from fighting an illness, the attack of disease or intense Spiritual Attack will not have the stamina to fight this decsion.
Death has a process. The Process is a Gift of God. The Process is there to assist us in moving from this dimension and the basis of this physical life to the next dimension and its basis of life. Pain is a fact of this physical life. The effects of pain are overcome with increased Spirituality. There is no need for drug therapy to overcome pain especially prior to death. Spirituality increases as death approaches. That aside, the precursors of death are masked or totally shutout by drug therapy. The pending death becomes no more than taking out the trash when the precursors are interfered with and the Process of death masked. A disgrutled Spirit will be left behind after the physical death has occurred. During the precursory time for death, there are visitations by family members who have passed over previously, visions of what is coming and where that Soul is going after leaving this body, Blessings in the foreshadowing of things to come and things from the past and so much more.
No person should be left to experience the death Process alone. The sharing of their last earthly moments and their death visions, as well as the visitations from Spirits that are experienced, are meant to give us all Hope and Faith for our Future. If we truly care about our “loved” one, we will help them endure the pain without masking or interfering with the death Process. It is what the dying say, what they see and what they emanate from their countenance, that are important during those last days of an earthly life. THIS is Death with Dignity.
Those last days may take years… and the people of Washington State are willing to stick that needle in during their chosen 6 months…
