To Carry your own Cross

What is it to carry your own Cross? It would be interesting to get feedback on this phrase. The Christian who has shared in the Spiritual aspects of the Crucifixion of “Jesus Christ”, will have quite a different answer than the person who has only read the words, but not experienced the pain.

Matthew 10:38 of the NIV states, “and anyone who does not take his Cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.” It goes on in the next verse to state, “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake, will find it.”

When Christ came, He came to Free the children of God from the Law. He did not come to take away the Law, however, but to Fulfill it. The Freedom He came to bestow was not of this world. “Jesus”, Himself was a mystic. He was a Prophet of old and studied the mysticism of His day. He came to teach the children of God to look to the Spiritual and Believe. The Healing He brought was Spiritual in nature. He took on the Spiritual burdens of others in order for them to Heal. If Spiritual illness consumes us, in time it will be reflected in our physical bodies. It can be passed from generation to generation. As it is written, curses (burdens) can be passed to the 3rd and 4th generations.

“I have been Crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” is from Galatians 2:20 spoken by Paul the Apostle, who in that statement acknowledges that he experiences the Stigmata. He shared in the Spiritual burdens and pain of the Crucifixion of “Jesus Christ”. The Mystery spoken of in the New Testament is the ability to share Spiritual burdens. The ability to help Heal one another. He has shown me the Mystery. Spiritual burdens are shared at varying degrees. Not every Christian shares the burdens of the Cross, itself. It is the Holy Spirit, the Ruach HaKodesh, whom Paul describes as living within him. He did not Understand the full and far reaching repercussions of being a Spiritual Christian. It was a new and different phenomenon from the Jewish tradition. The masses had no clue what the Prophets experienced in the Revelation. Only the mystic could relate to those enlightening events and what they were comprised of. Then, with the Pentecost, every Christian would experience to some degree, the Spiritual events of the mystics.

As time passed and men were in control of the new church established with the death of “Jesus Christ”, the vision and the passion was left behind in lieu of the power that could be wielded as a leader in the Christian church. Few Christians of this day know what it is to be a Spiritual Christian. Few know what it is to actually give up your life to Follow “Jesus Christ”. When He Called each of His Apostles and asked them to Follow Him and leave family behind, He meant it. Things have not changed. Very few contemporary Christians will up and leave their family behind to Follow Him. The concept is that you are re-born. You came into this life alone. You do it ALONE. You do not take a spouse with you. You do not take your children with you. And, the work you do is not for self gratification. You go where He tells you to go, say what He tells you to say, and do what He tells you to do. You do your Work for Him behind the scenes. There is very little gratification from mankind for the Work you do. The Greatest Difference is that we will not be leaving this life alone. We will leave this earth together.

The life of Joan of Arc is a prime example. She was very gifted and very powerful on a Spiritual level. You can expect Spiritual attack that becomes physical in form as you move up the Spiritual ladder. Most people turn away at the first difficulties. There is a Transition Period, between the time “Jesus” Calls to your heart and you are re-born into Christianity. You must survive the Transition period before you are actually “re-born”. Death comes in many forms.  It doesn't have to be a physical death.  Rebirth into the Christian Way of Life is an Event that occurs at the end of the Transition. A death event.

May this posting be a Blessing to all the Spiritual Christians who need to know that there are others out there experiencing the Way of Life with them and staying Faithful to the Church.
